The A2MF team works closely with innovators to understand their business needs and aspirations. Their goal is to help companies prepare for investment, market and supply chain. Grounded in the large business incubation and support community, the A2MF team uses a smart brokerage model to help businesses identify and access the expertise and financing needed to overcome the challenges of growing businesses. and achieve their ambitions.

The A2MF team covers the whole of the UK and is based in the regions it serves. They are very experienced in helping businesses reach their potential.
Alan Scrase, Head of A2MF and London and the South
Alan has been running the A2MF service for two and a half years and enjoys supporting our innovators. Prior to joining DASA, Alan was Director at SETsquared at the University of Southampton Business Incubation Center, where he supported and guided members to generate growth and innovation.
He also managed a successful SME and worked for Business Link. He has been closely associated with a wide range of regional and economic development projects and programs, and uses this experience and knowledge to help DASA support its innovators.
I am delighted that we were able to create the Access to Mentoring & Finance team, which truly understands the challenges of running a business. Their vast experience allows us to support a wide range of companies and their staff. Even though we are a relatively new team, it’s a pleasure to see the positive impact they have already had.
Tracey North, North Power Plant
Tracey has over 34 years of experience in the banking and finance industry as a business relationship manager. Tracey looked after a portfolio of clients and all their business needs, not just financial, helping SMEs grow their businesses and achieve their aspirations.
She has a good understanding of the challenges innovators face and the hurdles they face in bringing their ideas to market, and is well positioned to support them on their growth journey.
Anis Mourad, Scotland, Wales & International
Anis has spent her career working within the UK and European innovation and economic development ecosystem, in both the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in providing practical advice and guidance to businesses on topics such as innovation financing, intellectual property, working with third parties and commercialization.
His experience working with companies of all shapes, sizes, ages and stages gives him a unique insight into the breadth of challenges businesses face when looking to design, develop and market their products and services.
Hannah Tapsell, Midlands Engine and the Golden Triangle
Prior to joining DASA, Hannah spent seven years on the London Stock Exchange. During this time, she has helped entrepreneurs and business leaders access the financing and expertise needed to grow their businesses. She was in charge of a portfolio of companies, supported them to understand their growth ambitions and supported them throughout the fundraising process.
Hannah brings her hands-on experience advising start-ups to DASA and is dedicated to helping SMEs grow the business behind their innovations.

Each year, the A2MF team brings together a cohort of leading innovators to showcase their companies and new technology ideas at DASA’s annual investor showcase. Companies receive dedicated training and support to develop a compelling pitch deck tailored to the investor audience.
