Newcastle United – Loan Watch: Assist for Anderson in Rovers victory


Elliot Anderson recorded his first assist at senior level for Bristol Rovers, helping Joey Barton’s side to a 2-0 win over Sutton United on Tuesday night.

The highly rated 19-year-old, who made his Premier League debut for his boyhood club against Arsenal in January 2021, joined the League Two side on loan for the rest of the season last month.

The young Magpies made an immediate impact at Memorial Stadium, giving Harry Anderson the start for the opening goal in four minutes.
