Hatters midfielder Sam Beckwith made his full debut for Maidenhead United as they had two players sent off in the 2-0 home loss to Stockport County in the National League on Tuesday night.
The teenager had only made one appearance on the bench since arriving at York Road but was there from the start as Alan Devonshire’s side looked to score a first point this month.
County had the advantage in the 18th minute, Will Collar finding John Rooney who scored the ball into the corner.
Maidenhead responded well, but the hosts were then given a red card mid-halfway through as Remy Clerima was sacked for an off-ball incident.
The visitors took control and in the second half, doubled their lead just after the hour mark, Liam Kitching’s corner was caught by Alex Reid.
Any hope of a return was dashed in the 75th minute as Reading goalkeeper on loan, James Holden, a former Luton youth team player, was sent off for cutting Reid while running.
Town forward Elliot Lee played 90 minutes as Charlton lost 2-1 at home to Cheltenham in League One on Saturday.
Matty Blair scored in six minutes, before Taylor Perry made it 2-0 moments after the half hour.
Jonathan Leko pulled one out in the second half, but the Addicks failed to equalize.
Defender Peter Kioso came on after 69 minutes when MK Dons beat Portsmouth, also in League One.
The hosts scored the lone goal moments after Kioso, Ethan Robson arrived with the winner.
Midfielder Jake Peck was a late replacement as Concord Rangers drew 2-2 at Maidstone United in the National League South.
The game was overshadowed by allegations of racist abuse by Stones fans against Beach Boys goalie Myles Roberts, who was sent off in the second half for two bookable offenses.
